This is a gorgeous, antique (dated 1914), french silver medal of Our Lady of Grace. It has the french silver hallmark which indicates a silver fineness of at least 800 or 80% silver. It is a little hard to tell, but the silver mark is punched in the left side of the loop.
A lighter silver color - not dark.
It has nice thickness and weight.
Beautiful engraving on reverse side.
The new, oxidized, italian sterling silver "wheat" chain measures about 20 inches in length.
