Scapular Medal Necklace- Vintage Sterling Silver and Marcasite Scapular Medal

This is a lovely, vintage sterling silver and marcasite scapular medal with Our Lady of Mount Carmel on one side and the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the other. 

The medal measures about 1 inch in length including its loop (but not including the attach ring).   Marked "sterling".

The chain is (new) sterling silver and measures about 18 inches in length.

11.Those who propagate this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be effaced.
12.The all-powerful love of My Heart will grant to all those who shall receive Communion on the First Friday of nine consecutive months the grace of final repentance; they shall not die under my displeasure, nor without receiving their Sacraments; My heart shall be their assured refuge at that last hour.

The last promise has given rise to the Roman Catholic practice of making an effort to attend Mass and receive Communion on the first Friday of each month.
