Virgin Mary Necklace, Our Lady of Lourdes, Vintage French Silver and Marcasite Medal

This is a lovely, vintage, French silver (with silver hallmark) and marcasite medal of Our Lady of Lourdes. The French silver hallmark indicates a silver content of at least 800 or 80% silver (vs. US sterling which is 925 or 92.5% silver).

The medal measures about 1 1/4” in length including its loop, but not the bail. No missing marcasites.

I used a vintage French textured silver chain and added a new clasp and extender. The length without extender is about 17”. The extender adds up to about 2 3/4” in length.
