Vintage French Bronze and Enamel Saint Marcella Medal

This is a stunning, vintage, french, heavy bronze and enamel medal of Saint Marcella.

It is unsigned, but looks like the work of Elie Pellegrin.

It measures about 1 3/8" in diameter.

Saint Marcella is a saint in the Roman Catholic Church and Eastern Orthodox Church. She was a Christian ascetic in the Byzantine Era. After her husband's early death, she decided to devote the rest of her life to charity, prayer, and mortification of the flesh.
