This is a gorgeous antique (dated 1918) french silver medal of the Virgin Mary. The medal has the french silver hallmark which indicates a silver content of at least 800 or 80% silver. The hallmark is located on the loop of the medal.
Beautiful engraving on the reverse side.
The medal measures about 1 1/4" in diameter - larger size medal.
The chain is new, oxidized, sterling silver, 4-sided foxtail/wheat chain and measures about 24 inches in length.
Truly an heirloom medal!!!
