Virgin Mary Necklace - Vintage French Silver, Marcasite and Purple Enamel Medal

This is a lovely and stunning, vintage, french, purple enamel, marcasite and silver medal of the Virgin Mary as Our Lady of Lourdes.

The medal has the french silver hallmark indicating a silver fineness of at least 800 or 80% silver.

The medal measures about 1" in length including its loop (but not including its bail).

For the chain, I used antique, french silver chain with a beautiful design.  The length is about 18 inches in length.  It is finished with a new oxidized sterling silver clasp and jump rings.

Truly an unusual and heirloom piece!
