French Vachette Waag Virgin Mary and Guardian Angel Medal

This is a very beautiful, french silver medal of the Virgin Mary and a Guardian Angel by renowned Paris goldsmith Vachette.  

Vachette Waag was established in the 1800s.  Vachette designed the Miraculous Medal.

The medal has the french silver hallmark (boar's head) which indicates a silver fineness of at least 800 or 80% silver.

It measures about  1 1/8" in length including its loop (but not including the attach ring).

The chain is new, oxidized sterling silver and measures about 20 inches in length.
