This is a gorgeous, antique, 1919 medal which commemorates the consecration of the Sacre Coeur Basilica in Paris on October 16th of 1919 (less than a year after WWI ended).
The medal has a silver hallmark, indicating a silver content of at least 800 or 80% silver.
LARGER SIZE MEDAL - The medal measures about 1 3/8 in length including its loop (but not including the attach ring).
The new, heavier, "foxtail" sterling silver chain (4 sided) measures about 24 inches in length.
Comes in a gift box.
